Privacy Policy

ResaleIQ is decision-intelligence software for online resellers, operated by J & J Enterprises and Service Solutions LLC (JJE), an Indiana limited liability company. Throughout this policy, "we," "us," and "ResaleIQ" all refer to that same entity.

This policy explains what information we collect when you use resaleiq.co and the ResaleIQ application, how we use it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.

We collect only what the product needs to work for you.

• Waitlist email. When you join the waitlist, we store your email, optional notes, and basic signup context (referring page, user agent, timestamp). We use this to contact you when your beta batch opens.
• Account information. When you sign up for an account, we store your email, a hashed password, display name, and role via Supabase Auth.
• eBay account data. If you connect your eBay seller account, we store OAuth tokens (encrypted at rest) and pull listing, order, and sales data on your behalf via eBay's official APIs. We never see your eBay password.
• Inventory data you enter or import. Items you add manually, import from CSV, or sync from eBay — including photos, pricing, costs, bin locations, and notes — are stored so the product can show them back to you and run analytics.
• Shippo account data (optional). If you enable shipping label printing, you provide your own Shippo API key. Your Shippo account is yours; ResaleIQ never acts as the merchant of record for label purchases.
• AI chat conversations. When you use RIQ, your questions and the AI's responses are processed via third-party language model APIs (see "Third parties" below). Conversation history is stored so the chat remembers context within a session.
• Usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to understand which pages load and where users come from. This is aggregated traffic data, not tied to individual accounts.

• To provide the product features you signed up for — showing your listings, running price optimization, answering your RIQ questions, printing shipping labels, etc.
• To send you transactional email (waitlist welcome, account notifications, daily optimizer digest).
• To debug issues and improve the product. Server logs may contain API request traces with account identifiers.
• To enforce these terms and comply with legal obligations.

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.
• We do not share your data with third parties for their marketing.
• We do not make changes to your eBay account without your explicit action (no silent relisting, no price changes without a click).
• We do not read Shippo data beyond what's needed to buy the specific label you request.

ResaleIQ is built on top of industry-standard service providers. Your data may pass through the following, each bound by their own privacy and security policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication (US-hosted).
• Vercel — web hosting and deployment.
• Cloudflare — Worker proxy for eBay API calls.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• OpenAI and/or Anthropic — language model APIs that power RIQ and listing optimization. Your chat messages are sent to these providers for inference. We do not permit them to train on your data.
• eBay — we integrate with eBay's official APIs on behalf of your authenticated seller account.
• Shippo (optional) — if you enable shipping, you bring your own Shippo account; transactions are billed to your Shippo account, not ours.

We encrypt sensitive data at rest (OAuth tokens, API keys) and in transit (TLS on every connection). Access to production data is limited to JJE employees who need it to operate the service.

We retain data for as long as your account is active. When you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (financial records, etc.).

You can:

• Access the data we have about you — most of it is visible in the app itself.
• Correct inaccuracies — edit any of your inventory, settings, or profile information directly.
• Delete your account — email us and we'll remove your data within 30 days.
• Export your data — ask and we'll send you a CSV/JSON archive.
• Revoke eBay access — disconnect from within the app or via your eBay account settings.

We'll update this page when our practices change, and update the "Last updated" date at the top. If changes are material, we'll also email active users.
